restore a young & healthy appearance PDO NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT
A PDO thread facelift can provide a minimally invasive alternative to traditional facelift surgery, helping to lift and tighten sagging skin and stimulate collagen production for a more youthful appearance.
PDO NON-SURGICAL FACELIFT
A PDO Thread Lift is a non-surgical facelift with very limited downtime and known for transforming sagging skin back to a youthful appearance and perfect for people with mild to moderate skin sagging. PDO (or polydioxanone), consists of a small, naturally dissolvable suture thread, is placed into the skin between the eyes and the cheeks. This treatment lifts and pulls back sagging skin to restore a young and healthy appearance.
This advanced treatment not only lasts for up to 6 months but as the microscopically small sutures dissolve, they stimulate collagen replacement, further supporting our clients’ goals to maintain young and healthy-looking skin with elasticity and volume. With downtime of only one to two days, our clients love getting results similar to a surgical facelift at one-quarter of the cost and with far fewer risks.
In the US, there are only a handful of experts with the appropriate training and experience to perform this up and coming procedure – and Denver Laser Solutions is one of them!
PDO Thread Facelift – give yourself the gift of youth
A non-invasive PDO facelift is a cosmetic procedure that uses Polydioxanone (PDO) thread to lift and tighten the skin on the face. The threads are inserted under the skin using small needles, and they work by stimulating collagen production, which helps to improve the skin’s elasticity and firmness.
The procedure is considered non-invasive because it does not involve incisions or surgery, and it typically has minimal downtime and recovery time. It’s often an ideal treatment option to treat sagging skin on the face, neck, and jawline, and it can also be used to improve the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.
The benefits of a non-invasive PDO facelift include:
Minimal downtime and recovery time: Since the procedure is non-invasive, there is no need for incisions or surgery, which means that patients can typically return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure
Safe and effective: PDO thread lifts have been used in medicine for many years and are considered safe and effective for skin tightening and lifting
Natural-looking results: The procedure stimulates collagen production in the skin, which can lead to a more youthful and natural-looking appearance
Long-lasting results: The effects of a PDO thread lift can last for several months and can be maintained with regular touch-up treatments
Can be combined with other treatments: PDO thread lift can be combined with other non-invasive treatments such as fillers, Botox, or laser therapy to achieve optimal results
Affordable: Compared to invasive facelift surgery, PDO thread lift is considered more affordable
Non-surgical: As it is a non-invasive procedure, it can be performed under local anesthesia
Who Is a Good Candidate for PDO Non-Surgical Facelift
A good candidate for a PDO non-surgical facelift is typically someone who is experiencing mild to moderate sagging or drooping of the skin on the face, neck, or jawline.
This procedure can be used to treat the following issues:
- Mild to moderate sagging skin on the face, neck, or jawline
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Loss of volume in the cheeks
- Double chin
- Jowls
The procedure may also be a good option for those who want to improve their appearance without undergoing surgery. A good candidate will have realistic expectations about the procedure and understand that it is not a replacement for a surgical facelift.
It’s important to consult with a qualified healthcare provider from Denver Laser Solutions in order to determine if you are a good candidate for a PDO non-surgical facelift. Our team will evaluate your medical history, skin condition and discuss the specific areas you would like to treat, and recommend the appropriate course of treatment.
It’s worth noting that people with a history of keloid scarring, active skin infections, or bleeding disorders may not be good candidates for the procedure, and people with a history of Facial fillers, Botox, or laser therapy should wait for a certain period before the procedure.

What Are The Side Effects Of PDO?
Unlike surgical facelifts, there are far less risks with the non-invasive PDO facelift. Some side effects of this treatment include visible scaring or bruising that will last one to two days. Also, with the microscopically small threads, there is a possibility one can break, thus requiring another thread to be placed. Lastly, there could be a little rippling, but as the sutures dissolve the unevenness goes away.
Does PDO Hurt?
The amount of discomfort is minimal. To help alleviate any uneasiness, we place a local dental anesthetic in the area where we will be working.
How Much Downtime Is There With PDO?
There will be minor bruising and swelling that is minimal enough that it can be covered with makeup for the one to two days while it lasts. We recommend that you get PDO at least two weeks prior to a major event such as a wedding or high school reunion.
Is PDO Reversible?
Yes, PDO is completely reversible. If you don’t continue to get the treatment, your skin will return to where it was previously.
Can I Further Support PDO With Fillers Such As Juvederm?
Yes! For our Denver PDO clients that want additional fillers to provide additional support for sagging skin, we use Juvederm to give this extra lift.
How Long Is The PDO Procedure?
PDO treatments last about 60 to 90 minutes.
How Many Sutures Are Placed During A Treatment?
We place about three to seven sutures per side during the PDO treatment.
How Do I Know If I Am A Good Candidate For PDO?
PDO is an excellent treatment for people with mild to moderate sagging. A no-commitment consultation is required prior to treatment to determine your eligibility.
What Can I Expect During The PDO Treatment?
During a PDO treatment, we will draw lines on the face to ensure exact placement of the threads. We will always take photos, so you can see the difference before and after the treatment. We then take the needle from a tiny point near the eye and thread the suture from this area down the face.
What Will PO Do To The Appearance Of My Face?
It will pull the corners of your mouth and jowls up. It will pull the area near the nasal labial fold back and it will reduce smile lines and give your face a nice sharp, youthful definition.
Do I Need A Follow Up Visit?
Yes, two weeks after your PDO treatment you will need to return to Denver Laser Solution for a follow up visit. We can then discuss if more sutures would be beneficial. If you would like to have more sutures placed, they can be inserted during your follow up visit.
Is PDO Safe?
The PDO procedure and thread has been used for years in heart and spinal surgery. PDO has also been used aesthetically for non-surgical facelifts and wrinkle reduction in Asia and Europe for almost two decades. Now that the FDA has approved PDO for aesthetic use in the US, everyone here can enjoy the many benefits of a low cost, low-risk non-surgical facelift.
Why Should I Choose Denver Laser Solutions For PDO?
Although this treatment has been used for non-surgical facelifts and wrinkle reduction in Europe and Asia for decades, it was only approved for aesthetic use in the US within the last four years. In the US, there are only a handful of experts with the appropriate training and experience to perform this up and coming procedure – and Denver Laser Solutions is one of them.
I go to Denver Laser Solutions for Botox and laser hair removal and all the girls are amazing. I usually see Mara, she is so thorough and welcoming and makes me feel so comfortable. The last time I went, she did my Botox and it’s literally the BEST job I’ve ever had. I’m very picky with my face, and this is the only place I trust for my injectables. I recommend to all my friends and family.
