IS MICRONEEDLING FOR YOU?
If you want to correct or remove fine lines, nourish your skin from the dry Denver weather, reducing pore size and lighten the appearance of acne scars this is likely to be an effective treatment for you. Microneedling is also highly recommended for young professionals looking to maintain youthful skin and prevent early signs of aging.
Fractional laser treatment also improves the texture of skin, acne scars, fine lines and stretch marks, but fractional laser treatment is ideal for more aggressive and deeper lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes. If you don’t need an aggressive treatment, dermal needling is a more cost-effective option for those on a budget.
THE SCIENCE BEHIND MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is a well-established treatment and has been conducted for over 30 years, clinically proven and tested. This is a treatment where sterile micro-needles are applied to the face to create what we call “micro-injuries” to the skin. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. As the needles are applied to the face they are also delivering products to help nourish and heal the skin. We believe that this treatment triggers collagen production like no other treatment can!
Not all Microneedling treatments are the same
There are two different types of microneedling, traditional or “cold”microneedling and radio frequency (RF) microneedling. The traditional microneedling version uses sterile medical-grade microneedles to puncture hundreds of micro channels into the skin and is the version used at Denver Laser Solutions.
Radio Frequency or RF microneedling also punctures the skin, but it energizes the microneedles with radio frequency to create and deliver heat into the subdermal layers of skin.
Although both treatments use the term “microneedling”, the technology and treatment process are actually very different.
What is Diamond Microdermabrasion?
Traditional microneedling is a small hand held device that looks like a large pen or gun. A disposable medical-grade microneedle tip is inserted on the end.
When turned on, the device vibrates the microneedle tip repeatedly puncturing the skin. During this process stem cell serum is applied and driven into the living skin through the hundreds of micro-injuries created.
Benefits: In response to needling, a natural inflammatory healing process begins. Stem cells enhance this process by regenerating the fibroblast cells that produce connective tissue and collagen that keeps your skin from sagging and aging.
What is RF Microneedling?
Radio frequency microneedling is a large cosmic technology platform that produces radio frequency energy to heat the micro needles that puncture the skin.
The addition of RF energy helps to further stimulate the body’s natural collagen and healing processes.
Drawbacks: Stem cell technology is not incorporated which is a huge part of the skin renewal process. While it is effective for skin rejuvenation, it is more akin to non-ablative fractional laser skin resurfacing.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MICRONEEDLING & FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENT
When choosing the best treatment to help remove and reduce wrinkles it is best to understand the differences between Microneedling and Fractional Laser Treatment
MICRONEEDING IS:
- Is good for lines, wrinkles and the full face
- More budget friendly than Fractional Skin Resurfacing
- Has similar results and benefits as Fractional Skin Resurfacing
- Does not involve any heat injury which can make this treatment safer for darker skin tones
- Treatment includes extra exfoliation Uses needles
- Requires numbing crème an hour before treatment
- Downtime is 24 hours
FRACTIONAL LASER TREATMENT:
- Is good for small sections of the face such as around the eyes and mouth and for stretch marks
- Many clients believe the results with Fractional Laser Treatment are better than with Microneedling
- Uses a laser
- Is considered a bit more painful than Microneedling
- Requires numbing crème an hour before treatment
- Downtime is 2-4 days
What to Expect
Microneedling treatment will take 60 minutes for the face.
A topical numbing cream is applied for 30 minutes prior to treatment.
Skin is cleansed thoroughly and a microdermabrasion or level one chemical peel preps the skin.
Stem cell serum is applied and microneedling is performed in sections until pinpoint bleeding is noted.
Ultra rich hydrating mask is applied for 10 minutes.
Additional stem cell serum is applied followed by SPF.
Stem cell serums are given to be used at home post treatment.
Microneedling
Treatment areas:
Microneedling treatment option can be preformed on the face, neck, chest, back or hands.

I go to Denver Laser Solutions for Botox and laser hair removal and all the girls are amazing. I usually see Mara, she is so thorough and welcoming and makes me feel so comfortable. The last time I went, she did my Botox and it’s literally the BEST job I’ve ever had. I’m very picky with my face, and this is the only place I trust for my injectables. I recommend to all my friends and family.
