Hi Tiffany – I have ginormous pores and want the best, most effective treatment to shrink them. I also am getting thin wrinkles on my cheeks when I smile and big time crows feet. HELP! 42 is getting rough! – E
Hi E, thanks for being the first “Ask Tiffany question!” All of us are born with our pore size, and the size indicates our skin type and whether we will have oily, dry or combination skin. However, our pores can get larger overtime.
First, are your large pores clogged? If so, for the most effective treatment you’ll want to get an acne focused facial to manually extract blackheads and whiteheads, then you’ll want to use at-home products such as a clay mask 2x/week to keep pores clean. After the facial, you want to get a treatment to shrink your pores. I recommend a chemical peel or you can use an alpha hydroxy acid night cream 3-4 nights a week.
You can tackle the the fine lines in your cheeks by forcing your body to build new collagen and elastin! Use an at-home dermal roller or for the most aggressive results go in office for micro-needling treatments. All med spas are different, but at Denver Laser Solutions a chemical peel is included with Microneedling treatments, therefore it would be the most effective and cost-efficient solution for you as it would address both large pores and fine lines.
As for your third concern with crows feet, my answer is Botox, Botox, Botox! If you’ve never had Botox before let us know and we will let you try it around your eyes at no cost. Then if you like it, you can get this treatment again with confidence!
