reduce the appearance of dark undereye circles and more withplatelet rich fibrin
platelet rich fibrin
PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) is a cutting edge treatment in aesthetic medicine. Its a natural treatment in which your blood is drawn, processed, and injected into specific areas of the face. Our blood contains growth factors and other biostimulators to promote collagen and rejuvenation and by concentrating these we can gain great results with little downtime.

What is the Difference Between PRP and PRF?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) are a similar process in which blood is taken, processed, and injected into specific areas of the face. The main difference between the two is that PRF is longer lasting. PRF is spun more slowly to retain more fibrin in the plasma, so that once injected, the fibrin retains in the area for a more prolonged period of time, releasing more growth factors and cytokines compared to traditional PRP. This leads to more collagen production and better results.
What is the difference between PRF and filler?
PRF and filler are not the same. Filler is a substance, usually hyaluronic acid, that is injected to add volume to the skin and give structure to the face. PRF on the other hand is a biostimulator designed to trigger your own body’s healing process to create new collagen in the areas injected. Unlike filler, you do not receive instant results with PRF and it will take about 2-6 weeks for results to start showing.
How does PRF work?
Our blood contains growth factors, cytokines, and other signaling molecules that tell our body there is an injury. By collecting these, concencentrating them, then injecting them back in strategic areas, we can stimulate collagen naturally
What Should I Expect After My PRF Treatment?
After your treatment, you can return to most normal activities the same day. However, you may experience some minor swelling, redness, tenderness, and possible bruising in the areas treated which subside within a few days. We recommend avoiding makeup for 24 hours, and avoiding sun, intense workouts, and hot environments for 48 hours after treatment.
How Long do Results Last?
Results typically last 6-12 months, but there are many factors that affect the longevity of PRF:
- Your age
- Your overall health and lifestyle
- Number of treatments
- If you are pairing treatments with other procedures like microneedling, Botox, etc. to prolong results
Multiple treatments may be needed to gain maximum benefit. You can discuss treatment options with your provider about what would work best.
What Can I do to Prepare for my PRF Treatment?
There are some tips we recommend patients adhering to for best results:
- Hydrate really well for the 3 days before treatment
- Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior
- Avoid NSAIDs and aspirin for at least 7 days prior to treatment if possible
How does PRF Enhance Microneedling?
In our microneedling procedure, we use a growth factor serum that does contain growth factors, however, we can add PRF to microneedling to harvest your own growth factors. The result is a higher concentration of biostimulators, which leads to better results.
I go to Denver Laser Solutions for Botox and laser hair removal and all the girls are amazing. I usually see Mara, she is so thorough and welcoming and makes me feel so comfortable. The last time I went, she did my Botox and it’s literally the BEST job I’ve ever had. I’m very picky with my face, and this is the only place I trust for my injectables. I recommend to all my friends and family.
